Acceptable Use Policy

1. Prohibited Content

You may not host, store, or distribute the following content on Hostwares:

  • Malware, viruses, trojans, or other malicious software
  • Phishing pages or credential-harvesting sites
  • Spam content or infrastructure used to facilitate spam
  • Content that is illegal under US or international law
  • Copyright-infringing material
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or child exploitation content
  • Terrorist or violent extremist content

2. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Cryptocurrency mining without explicit authorization
  • Launching or participating in DDoS attacks
  • Port scanning or network reconnaissance of other systems
  • Brute-force attacks against any service
  • Unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
  • Operating proxies or VPNs for illegal purposes

3. Resource Abuse

You must not exceed your allocated CPU, memory, or storage limits. Intentional overloading of shared resources that impacts other customers is prohibited. If your usage consistently exceeds your plan limits, you will be asked to upgrade or reduce usage.

4. Email Policy

Bulk unsolicited email (spam) is strictly prohibited. All email sent from our platform must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act, including providing a valid unsubscribe mechanism and accurate sender information.

5. Network Policy

IP spoofing, packet manipulation, and any activity that interferes with other customers' network connectivity or service availability is prohibited.

6. Adult Content

Legal adult content is permitted only on dedicated servers with age verification mechanisms in place. Adult content is not permitted on shared hosting plans.

7. Enforcement

Violations are handled as follows:

  • First violation: Warning issued with 24 hours to resolve the issue
  • Second violation: Temporary suspension of the affected service
  • Third violation: Account termination without refund

Severe violations (e.g., CSAM, active attacks, illegal content) may result in immediate termination without prior warning.

8. Reporting Abuse

To report abuse or a policy violation, contact us at [email protected]. Please include relevant URLs, timestamps, and a description of the violation.

9. Law Enforcement Cooperation

Hostwares LLC cooperates with law enforcement agencies when legally required. We may disclose user information in response to valid legal process (subpoenas, court orders, or warrants).
