Eligibility Rules
Active subscription required — You must have an active plan (Starter, Pro, or Business) to generate a referral link.
New users only — Referral links only work for users who don't already have a Hostwares account.
Maximum 20 referrals — Each account can refer up to 20 users (10,000 credits max earnings).
No self-referrals — Creating multiple accounts to earn referral credits is prohibited and will result in account suspension.
Tracking & Attribution
• Referrals are tracked via the ?ref=CODE parameter in your unique link
• Attribution is recorded at the moment of registration
• You can view all your referrals, their status, and earned credits in the Referrals Dashboard
• Statuses: Pending → Converted → Rewarded
Team & Account Sharing
Beyond referrals, Hostwares supports team workspaces for collaboration:
- Agencies — Create a team and add client accounts as members for shared infrastructure management
- Freelancers — Invite clients to your team so they can view deployment status
- Companies — Add developers, DevOps engineers, and managers with role-based access
Team roles:
- Owner — Full control, billing, can delete team
- Admin — Can manage members and resources
- Member — Can view resources and deployments

FAQ
When do I receive my referral credits?
Instantly. As soon as the referred user completes registration, credits are added to both accounts.
Can I refer someone who already has an account?
No. Referral links only work for new signups. If someone already has an account, the referral won't be tracked.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire and can be used at any time for any Hostwares service.
Can I withdraw credits as cash?
Credits are platform currency only. They can be used for services but cannot be withdrawn as cash.
What happens if a referred user gets suspended?
If a referred user is suspended for abuse within 30 days, the referral reward may be revoked.
Can I share my account login with team members?
No. Use the Team feature instead to add members with proper role-based access. Sharing credentials violates our ToS.
Is there a limit to team size?
Teams can have up to 25 members. Contact support for larger teams.
